UK MediLink Ambulance established operations in February 2006 and has since become the leading private ambulance provider in Ireland. We are a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) licenced ambulance provider approved to use Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) at Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic and Advanced Paramedic levels. We provide a nationwide service, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to the major private health insurers, the Health Service Executive (HSE) in all regions and to both public and private hospitals in both Ireland and Northern Ireland.
We are the premier provider of ambulance services to the major repatriation and air ambulance companies internationally, and have a successful history of completing repatriations from start to finish.
We provide personnel, vehicles, and consultancy services to the major event organisers in Ireland and Northern Ireland, covering both indoor and outdoor events. Examples of our portfolio of events include Aviva Stadium Dublin, Leinster Rugby, IRFU, Mondello Park Race Circuit, Donegal Motor Club, Bloom in the Park, Government Buildings, among many others.
We have the only purpose built, dedicated Bariatric ambulance fleet in Ireland both North and South of the border. All personnel operating this fleet have received specialist training in the care and handling of bariatric patients in both critical and non-critical situations.
We currently operate a large modern fleet of CEN certified ambulances inspected by both the HSE and PHECC. Our ambulances are
staffed by an EMT driver and a Paramedic or Advanced Paramedic crew member as standard.
We operate a large Patient Transport Service (PTS) fleet with stretcher and non-stretcher buses and ambulance cars. These vehicles are staffed by state registered EMTs as standard and all carry oxygen, resuscitation equipment and automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
In addition to our ambulance and PTS fleet, we operate a number of rapid response vehicles (RRVs), medical cycle units, event and fleet
support vans, and our stretcher buggies for pitch extractions at stadiums or at large crowd gathering events.
We are a PHECC Recognised Training Institute with approval to teach the PHECC Community First Response (CFR) course at both Community and Advanced levels. We have a dedicated team of instructors who provide courses in Basic First Aid, Occupational First Aid, Manual Handling, Health and Safety, and Fire Safety. In addition our training centre is providing, through our sister company UK Specialist Ambulance Service (UKSAS), IHCD FPOS and IHCD Technician courses with direct access to employment with the A&E Division of UKSAS.
